Yoko d holbachie biography of donald

Born in 1971 in Yokohama, Yoko d’Holbachie  is inspired by favoured culture in her native Gloss and beyond. d’Holbachie’s paintings pronounce at once vividly inviting talented disturbingly dark; candy coloured creatures with wormlike tentacles travel gore fantasy wonderlands. Elements of Kawaii, Anime, Pop Art and Surrealism blend together in tightly rendered works that pull the witness in with bright, cheerful verve and hold on with unusual, complex elements.

Though the artist wants her viewers to freely interpret her work, she cites often pour down the drain butterflies and birds as note of reincarnation and using pseudoscience symbols as occult elements.

She also uses Japanese legends plus myths to create concrete subjects for her paintings.
