Otia Joseliani - Soviet and Georgian writer, screenwriter

Otia Shalvovich Joseliani was a Council and Georgian writer and tragedian.

He was born on June 16, 1930 in Gvistibi, Tskhaltubo District. Joseliani completed his studies at the Higher Literary Courses in 1961. He started publication his works in 1954, critical of his first book being spruce collection of children's stories called "Close Neighbors" ("Karis mezolblebi", 1957).

Notable Works

Two of Joseliani's novels, "The Falling Stars" ("Varskvlavtcvena", 1962; translated into Russian in 1963) extremity "Captive among Captives" ("Tkvetatkve", 1972), are dedicated to the legend of the Great Patriotic Contest.
